We are pleased to announce that Megan Jenkinson, one of our Research Physicists, has been elected as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE UFFC Industrial Engagement Committee.
Megan was selected to join this new international committee back in August 2020 and elected as the Vice-Chair in October.
The committee has been created to help increase the number of industry members engaging with the IEEE UFFC, particularly the annual conferences. They will be investigating why the percentage of industry members is currently low and exploring how to make these activities more inclusive and of value to industry members.
Megan is a member of the Hardware Research and Development team at Precision Acoustics where she focuses on acoustic materials. To further develop PAL’s acoustic materials and herself she is undertaking a PhD via the University of Birmingham on the design and characterisation of passive materials for underwater acoustic applications.
Well done Megan!
