As we start the lead-in towards the end of the year, we have been reflecting on the past twelve months and some very positive developments to the business during 2016, including celebrating our 25th anniversary.
This has included an overhaul of our workshop and stores to improve productivity and reduce lead-times, mainly driven by the growth in the business and exports, which now account for over 80% of our revenue.
This demand has also seen us invest over £100,000 in new test and manufacturing equipment to ensure we maintain and improve this crucial part of our activity.
We have also recruited new staff from within the local community, underlining our commitment to the continued growth of the company and the need to future-protect the needs of the business. The new members of the team include a software developer, Project Manager and a Science Apprentice as well as additional office administration staff, a Shipping Clerk and a Finance Assistant to contribute to improving overall levels of customer service.
Managing Director, Gary Livingstone, said,
We have been looking at the business as a whole and the potential our global reputation can deliver. That needed infrastructure investment, which will only help to improve our lead-times and levels of customer service. It’s testament to the great team we have here that we can build upon a knowledge-base that is second to none.
