16 micron 0.2mm Membrane Hydrophone - Order Code UT1602 (formerly UC1602)
Description
For high frequency ultrasound pressure measurements, where the minimisation of spatial averaging is important, this membrane is recommended.
Specification
The hydrophone is supplied with a PA submersible preamplifier, which is inserted into the base of the hydrophone mounting ring and provides 8dB of gain and 50 Ohm output. The preamplifier is powered through the DC Coupler. (See DC Coupler for more information).

| Mounting Ring Dimensions: | 100mm diameter 10mm thick |
| Membrane Diameter: | 80mm |
| Cable: | The preamplifier is terminated with 1.5m of RG 174 cable and SMC connector which connects to the DC Coupler |
| Active Sensor Diameter: | 0.2mm |
| Typical Sensitivity: | 12-15mV/MPa at 3MHz |
| Sensitivity Tolerance: | Sensitivity variation between individual membranes is approximately +/-3dB |
| Typical Frequency Response: | Flat (+/-2dB): over the range 1-30MHz |
This specification is subject to change without notice. The membrane hydrophone can be used with the Precision Acoustics Hydrophone Signal Conditioning Unit (Order Code MA2) which matches the performance of the membrane hydrophone to ensure a flat frequency response (+/-0.5dB) over the range: 1-30MHz.
